Response robotics

In development

Bastion

Extend the response team’s reach.

Bastion is a tracked response-robot concept with a manipulator for remote assessment and physical support tasks.

It goes in first to check gas, radiation, and heat, clears light obstacles, and carries small supplies while the team stays at a safe distance.

Discuss a Response Application

Gather context before committing people.

Disrupted environments can leave teams with an incomplete picture of access, damage, and immediate conditions.

Bastion’s intended role is to extend their ability to observe and perform selected physical tasks from a supervised distance.

Proposed applications

  1. 01Disaster assessmentCollect ground-level observations to support situational review.
  2. 02Industrial incident supportInvestigate defined areas and assist with selected remote tasks.
  3. 03Remote inspectionBring cameras and sensing equipment closer to locations of interest.
  4. 04Recovery logisticsMove small supplies and handle light obstacles within validated operating limits.

Develop a capability around the response.
